What it means to be a provider

Being a Provider has a much deeper meaning that our society and past generations has past down.

A Provider makes the opportunities possible. He is present and available. He takes time to prepare the road for his future generations through wisdom, caring, strength, protection, nourishment, and boundaries. He forges the path for those he loves.

“To all the providers…don’t minimize your value and worth to amount in your wallet.” ~ Jennifer Taylor

A Broken Heart

There are times in our life when we feel as though our heart is breaking.  Regardless of the circumstance…the feeling is very painful and often times gut wrenching.

In that moment, it is difficult to see the blessing and miracle that is taking place. For when our heart has been broken…it is broken open.

“The blessing is in the breaking; that, which refuses to be broken refuses to be blessed; It is the breaking of life that produces the blessing of life.” ~ Bishop TD Jakes

When the heart breaks open it reveals the only place we haven’t looked for all that we have been yearning and searching for. That is where you will find the acceptance, the joy, the security, and the understanding.  That is where you find the love and peace.

Once the warrior begins to walk the path of the spirit in search of peace, he sees that all the battles that we fight are on the inside. The battle for peace is actually an internal battle for peace. The battle for happiness comes when we overcome our internal dogma, judgement, criticism, and old perceptions. The real battle is closing the gap between who appear to be vs who we really are.

“God Grant Me The Serenity To Accept The Things I Can Not Change”  We often look into the past and wish things were different. We begin to feel all the guilt and shame from those experiences. But no matter how much you mentally replay the mental and emotional movie; there is nothing you can do to change what has already happened. It is completely out of your control to change what has already occurred. Your past story doesn’t define you; but it does reveal how you got here.

“Courage To Change The Things I Can”  Throw out the past…the same with the future. If you find all of your concentration on the future, which can sometimes cause fear and anxiety…throw that out too. If thoughts of the past and thoughts of the future are keeping you from this moment; get rid of it.  This moment is the only moment that really matters. This moment is where all of your power resides, all the opportunities to capture, and all the miracles to be unveiled.

“And The Wisdom To Know The Difference.”  Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time provides us that pathway to a clear mind and a clear heart. This clearing of the road allows us to know and see the difference of what is in our control and what is not. This is where happiness resides.

The Sacred Spiral of Life

The journey is forever coming full circle…which from a higher perspective is a spiral.

From the birth of the Caterpillar, to it’s time of death in the cocoon, to it’s rebirth as the butterfly, to it’s final death and rebirth to spirit.

The miracle that leads to the evolution to the next level or new beginning always follows the death of the old and into the breaking of the new.

Don’t, therefore, get trapped into the feelings and circumstances of the present moment…trust and allow for the breaking into the new. ~ Jennifer Taylor

The Music of Your Soul is Waiting To Be Heard

“Let me be an instrument of your peace” -St. Francis

Each of us is a unique divine creative instrument of the Universe. We all have our own sound and melody to play…but we must be willing to surrender in order for it to be heard.

Listen to the magic, beauty, and sensuous music of the flute. It is delicious and mesmerizing. The flute itself is a mere hollow channel that simply waits. It could easily be passed by and disregarded as plain and ordinary. The magic is the space inside that is waiting for energy, inspiration, passion and breath to be passed through it in order for it to come alive. The flute surrenders and allows the forces to push into it and eventually through it; for that it the way of creation.

Image

When we block, defend, avoid, and close ourselves; we are never able to hear and experience our own unique melody. Our soul cries to be heard, to experience itself as creation, to feel it’s own peace.

We all want to resonate with life itself; to be connected; to feel tingles of energy from all that is…but we must stop resisting. Allow the message and music of who you to be heard. Allow the love that is within you to breath life and passion to all the souls waiting to listen. ~ Jennifer Taylor

Jennifer Taylor; Life & Spiritual Life Coach

Jennifer Taylor
Certified Life & Spiritual Coach

I am a Life & Spiritual Coach and owner of Your Life Mastered. I have worked in sales and marketing for over twenty years.  I am not the ‘typical’ coach. I actually walk my talk.  I live these teachings and insights everyday. I too am a spiritual being walking around in a human meat-suit trying to create the best life for myself and those around me. I have been coaching myself, team members, co-workers, friends, family and the general public for what feels like a life time. The real journey began about 14 yrs ago. Through a series of life events, my entire world felt like it crashed down all around me. I can remember the night when it got so bad, I got on my knees in defeat and cried “uncle”. Life as I was living it was not working. No matter how much I tried to make it work, to control everything, and just be a good person…I just couldn’t master my life.  That day marked the beginning of a whole new journey for me. That was the day that I surrendered and asked for help. I wanted to finally know, understand, and discover what I had to do to finally master my own life. To discover how to be happy and feel that ‘peace’ thing everyone talks about. I finally discovered the answer.

I will help you to create positive changes in your life. For some people, that positive change focuses on your personal goals such as relationships, time management, manifesting abundance, work-life balance, stress reduction, health, etc. but for some others you may be more interested in professional or business goals such as leadership, starting a business, marketing & sales, etc. Regardless of your goals, I want to work with you to help you create a better, richer, and joyful life.

My Greatest Challenge on the Life and Spiritual Path

Image
I became a victim and hostage to the old stories that where filled with hopes, dreams, and worn out wishes. Forgiveness was and still is a gift I give myself.

One of the most challenging steps on my life and spiritual path was forgiveness.
I thought that forgiveness as a gift that I was giving to the one who had caused me pain. For me if felt like I was saying that it was all OK…and for me it was far from OK. I somehow felt powerful for carrying around the burdens of hurt and pain. That it made me stronger. Really it did just the opposite.

The pain followed me everywhere. And in good effort to avoid feeling the years worth of build-up, I would tell myself a different story and convince myself and the world that I was good. I became a victim and hostage to the old stories that where filled with hopes, dreams, and worn out wishes.

They say that the first step on any new path is often the hardest. The path of forgiveness began with the first step of releasing all the old hopes that the path could have been anything different. That my life would have turned out different…better. That first step came with a lot of tears.

It took me many years to understand that the gift of forgiveness was never about the other person. That gift was a gift that I gave to myself. And when I opened it, I saw that it came with brand new hopes, dreams, and wishes for an amazing future. I was now able to fully live and feel GREAT.~ Jennifer Taylor

How To Fall In Love With Yourself

The Well

One day in 2009, while I was meditating I asked; “How does one fall in love with self?”

I’d heard, read, and listened to more sources say that all you need to do is love yourself and everything would be better. But after each encounter I walked away still feeling confused and unfulfilled. It seemed that no one could give me the exact meaning of what that really meant. So, on that morning I set my intention. From the depths of my being I really wanted to know and understand what is meant to fall in love with myself, and not the superficial forms of self-love, like treating yourself to the spa or skipping that bowl of ice cream. I wanted to know and understand the big truth, the grandest version and highest expression of being self-actualized and deeply in love with the core of my being.

Image

There is a Tao saying that states: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” There I sat; trying so hard to clear my mind of all the ways I was trying to figure this self-love thing out. The more I tried to get quiet the more questions popped up. Then, after my increasing frustration and sheer exhaustion, “I wondered what the first step looks like?” I sat there and tried to mentally figure out where the first step was on that path of self-love. It was in that moment I ‘heard’ and ‘saw’ my answer. I was flooded with what I can only describe as an instant knowing of the answer… and from whom the answer was coming from.

“The first step of the process of self-love starts with you. It is a journey into the depths of remembering and feeling that you that is beyond the mirror.” Up until that moment, many of the things that I had been doing were focused outside of me, which were depleting me of love and my life force. I began to ‘see’ a field of water wells that went deep into the ground. As I proceeded to move through the field, I saw men standing near each of the wells. After observing the field for a minute I waited for the understanding of the meaning. I listened and ‘heard’, “The well is you. It represents the great feminine energy of all women. For these vessels contain the vital life force and love that is to nurture all others. And from this place, all others drink and are nourished. It is of the most importance that you, the well, be full.”

“The guardians of the wells are the men, the masculine spirit. Each guardian knows of the importance of the feminine spirit and from where the water flows. He is to protect each well to ensure that nothing spoils the water or drains it of its supply. And in return, he is nourished with life force and love.”

As I continued through the field, I could see that the connection of the feminine and the masculine was out of balance. Many of the men looked beaten down and drained of life energy and many of the wells were empty and drained of life energy also. In that moment, I understood interconnectedness of all things. The connection of men and women, the connection of physical and non-physical, and the connection of the feminine and masculine within each of us have been neglected and at times severed. For the masculine protects the feminine, allowing it to continue to replenish with the sweet life force, and in return the feminine provides nourishment and a deeper connection of the life force to the masculine. It is the delicate and loving dance of life itself. For one cannot exist without the other.

Finally I understood the first step on this illusive self-love path. The first step was that each and every thing that I did was to come from the intention of love; love for me. When I washed the dishes, I told myself it was because I loved myself enough to bless myself with clean dishes. When I brushed my teeth; I did it because I loved myself. When I showered, it was from a place of love. When I cooked, it was from a place of love. Even when I scrubbed the floor it was from a place of self- love. Then one day it happened…I could feel that my well was finally full.

The Sweet Smell of Skunk

While driving to an appointment this morning, an overwhelming smell of skunk filled every inch of my car and nasal passage. The smell was so strong it shocked me back to the moment. I realized that I had been day dreaming in my head and in that moment I made a point to take notice of what it was I was thinking about. The thoughts that were swirling around in my head…were they real and are those really want I want to manifest in the physical?

I follow a few spiritual paths, for I feel that there is a message for me everywhere if I am open to hearing it. One of my favorite paths is the path of Native American spirituality. It feels very grounding and organic for me. They believe that Great Spirit is everywhere and always sending us messages to assist us along the human walk. Animals are believed to be one of the many ways that Great Spirit communicates with us. Each animal embodies a spiritual meaning and message that if we pay attention to there presence in the moment, are there to answer and guide us to live the best life possible. They will often times sacrifice themselves in order to serve and deliver a message.

Now I didn’t see brother skunk but I sure did smell him and was keenly aware of his message for me in that particular moment.

ImageThe message that skunk brings is about your reputation. Simply, what are you announcing to the world? What energy and vibration are you sending out? What thoughts and feelings are you empowering in your manifestations? This message contains a lot of power and commands respect not only of the observer but of the beholder of the power as well. For we each contain the power to create our own reality.

The medicine of skunk reminded me in that moment to be aware of my thoughts and what I am sending out into the world. It was a gentle reminder to walk my talk by respecting myself and my own power of creation. It is just like that line in the movie Spider Man,  “With great power comes great responsibility”. We all have this amazing power within us to create our own personal heaven or our own personal hell…most have simply forgotten that and are using this power without even realizing it.

Skunk also reminds me to simply be myself and that my presence in this life is enough. I don’t need to overpower and put on a show to announce to the world who I am and what I am about. For how I care for myself, how I love myself, and how I carry myself tells the world what I believe in myself. The self-esteem is instantly recognized on a sensory level by everyone. I can use that power to attract and repel. It also teaches me to make note of what I am attracting to me in my life.

Am I attracting people, situations, and events that are positive or negative?  Throughout my day I will make a mental note to be present and aware of what I see and attract. Are the attractions pleasant in nature? If so, I will appreciate those characteristics in myself and be proud of the accomplishments I have made along my journey. And if I notice some are unpleasant within the senses, I will also make note of areas of improvement and progress. But ultimately, I am grateful to brother skunk for reminding me that what I believe in myself is my power & protection and to make sure that I project self-respect. ~ Jennifer Taylor

Paving Your Tomorrows

What we do today paves the way of our tomorrows. What actions, habits, routines, thoughts, feelings, words and mindset do you have? Are they building blocks to the next great creation or are they building blocks to a self-created prison?

Assess where you are right now? One of two things are occurring…  guaranteed. Either you are using your power to pave the road to the greatest life possible-OR-you are building walls of your own miserable prison.
